Sliding Scale Payment

Sessions range from as little as $30, to as high as $150, based on your level of need.

I don’t accept insurance, and that’s intentional. Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis to justify coverage—meaning your care becomes tied to a label, and that label lives in your permanent medical record, accessible to future insurers, employers, and institutions.

It can also limit how we work together: insurance often dictates session frequency, treatment approach, and how “progress” gets defined, based on standards that were not designed with neurodivergent, queer, BIPOC, or otherwise marginalized clients in mind.

Sliding scale removes that gatekeeping. You get:

  • Privacy — no diagnosis required, no paper trail with a third party

  • Autonomy — we shape treatment around your actual needs, not insurance criteria

  • Access Without Compromise — sliding scale exists so cost doesn’t determine who gets quality, affirming care

  • Flexibility — session length, pacing, and modality (including nature-based and animal-assisted work) stay led by you, not a claims department

This model reflects my anti-oppressive values: care shouldn’t require describing your day-to-day experience as a disease.
